Taylor

Taylor Swift, the rarest pop star, is one who has managed to cross from the country genre to mainstream pop culture and become an icon of the pop culture. Swift also took on every continent during the course of her journey. Swift shed country like it was a second layer and proved that she's possibly the most intelligent pop singer/songwriter of her time. One who can harness the mood of times to make her music personal and also perform in the opposite. Her talents are evident in some of her earliest tracks, notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless that came out in 2008, she could identify who she is and find an audience that was large. Fearless had a great success not only on American soil, with six platinum-certified songs. The Top Ten songs Love Story & the hit song You Belong with Me were the main reasons for this. However, it did exceptionally well throughout the world. Swift's next album, Speak Now, released almost two years after the previous one, built on this momentum. It helped propel Swift to the heights of fame. In the following three years, her popularity increased -- Red (2012), Reputation (2014) in addition to 1989 (2014-2015) during which time she entered a new world of pop music with her skills already established. Even when she scaled back her approach with 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she was still atop the pop world a position she kept with the re-recordings of her older catalogs as well as Midnights which was her top-charting synthesizer 2022 set.
