Dolly-Parton
born on January. 19th of 1946 in Locust Ridge Tenn into a poor family that would eventually comprise 12 kids Dolly Parton learned early to escape the hardships of living through her vibrant and far-ranging imagination. Prior to learning how to read or write, Dolly Parton was creating her own music. When she got her first instrument at age 8, she started to perform on local radio stations from Knoxville in Tennessee. The same the year that Gold Band Records was a small independent record label. The singer established a name in the local scene while in high school, however she dreamed of a bigger stage. In 1964, the day after her high school graduation, she relocated to Nashville. Her first charting records for Monument Records included Dumb Blonde and Something Fishy both in 1967. In the year 1967, Porter Wagoner was looking for the next girl to perform on his television show that was syndicated. Parton took the job in 1966. She then was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in 1969. In 1974, she resigned from Wagoner's Show because the success of her singles like Joshua Coats of Many Colors or Jolene was way ahead of their joint release. Parton composed I Will Always love You to Wagoner following their split. It made it to No. For the first time, in 1974.
