Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th in 1967) is an American performer and actress. She began her acting career in her teens. Her most well-known role was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as the role of the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She has three siblings. When she was in her teens she was a nightclub performer by sneaking from the house. Kari Wuhrer is an American model, singer and actor. She began her acting career at the Wooster School when she was 13 years old. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on April 28, she was raised there. She is the daughter of a German-American father and a German-American mother. Kari is one of the three youngest children. She sang in nightclubs as a teenager sneaking out of the home to perform. Kari, who was then 13 years old studied at the Wooster School as well as the Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with a drama teacher renowned as Uta. Kari got into acting while she was still a teenager. Kari got her first major break with MTV Remote Control in 1987.
